Course content
1) definition of a field of interest of economic journalism, economics, business and economics, the specifics of economic news and current affairs 2) periodicals devoted to the field (special periodicals, on-line portals and RTV programs in general rubric of general dailies, weeklies and monthly publications), the differences, the structure of themes and genres, practical analysis of current media messages (establishing the current state) 3) main information sources, institutions and organizations 4) specific processing of information obtained in the economy 5) legal framework and the ethical limits of economic journalists work - the pressures of institutions, including employers, advertising, hidden advertising 6) - 13) production, discussion and analysis of texts created by students

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to lead students to systematic monitoring and processing žurnalistickému topics from the economy. General knowledge acquired by students during the present study, the course will be supplemented and expanded to include specific information and skills that enable graduates to perform the work of professional journalists focused on the area of economic journalism.
Students will acquire skills of the course according to sylabus.
Prerequisites
The ability to write news reports, knowledge of basic journalistic terms.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Requirements for credit Regular monitoring will be required to print national periodicals focused on the economy and economic supplements or parts of at least one national newspaper. Monitoring will also be an economically-oriented programs in electronic media. From the above media will be taken in addition to its own production examples for analysis. Six contributions to selected topics. Contributions will be published on katederním e-zine, a semester long project (may be in the group 2-3 students) - eg analysis of a periodical / sections, etc. (by prior appointment with the teacher). Colloquium: debate by defense communication are developed and verify the theoretical knowledge acquired under the thematic headings course.
