Course content
1. Editing of the text, basic concepts and procedures. Introduction. 2. Editing of the news texts 3. Ways of verification of information sources and their insertion. 4. Principles of work with headlines. 5. Thematic units 6. Work with graphic elements 7. Ethical aspects of editorial work.Journalistic professional standards. 8. Practice.

Colloquium form for single major students of journalism
Editing of the news texts.
Prerequisites
The course provides a deeper insight into editorial practice of contemporary Czech print media. Part of the course is a critical reflection on texts published in the press.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

- Active participation in lessons - Student must demonstrate practical ability to edit specific texts and justify the procedure. Attestation: review of knowledge acquired in the course
