Learning outcomes
The aim of the seminar is through reading and interpretation of selected fiction Authors 2 half 20th century (and current) (re) construct the history of the 20th century and reflect on our immediate past. Selected a total of five themes, which selectively grabs some of the key problems of the period under review. The topic is always devoted two books, which are complementary perspectives or complementary. Themes are: an alternative future history of one life history of states at a crossroads, II. World War II today, the history of yesterday. Conclusion incorporate different perspectives into the framework of contemporary views on the history of Western civilization.
After finishing the course, student will have acquired an outline of the most important events in history with account to the present time.

Requirements for the colloquium: Active participation in seminars, assigned reading texts and preparing for seminars, successful management of the verification of knowledge of topics discussed in the debate over the week before the colloquium seminar handed works (at least 5 standard pages previously consulted on the subject).
