Course content
1. Delimitation of the analytical framework (methods) of written and spoken communication, photos, videos. Analysis of communication: 2.Photos, photos with the headline (and / or) with description, photos in text. 3. Classifiable printed texts without pictures is photos - based on an indicative process (report and its types). 4. Classifiable printed texts without pictures and with photos - based on an informative and descriptive process (paper and editorial riport). 5. Non-classifiable printed texts without pictures and with photos, other genres. 6. Printed text complexes. 7. Classifiable audial texts - based on an indicative process (report and its types). 8. Classifiable audial texts - based on an informative and descriptive process (paper and editorial riport). 9. Non-slassifiable audial texts and its complexes. 10. Classifiable AV / P / (combined audio-video / or written /) texts - based on an indicative process (report and its types). 11. Non-classifiable AV / P / (combined audio-video / or written /) texts - based on the informative and descriptive process (paper and editorial riport). 12. Non-classifiable AV / P / (combined audio-video / or written /) texts and its complexes.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide analytical framework for the analysing of media texts and the following apllication of this framework. The verbal as well as nonverbal texts will be analysed.
The ability to apply the analytical framework on the media messages and do the semiotical analysis of the text.
Prerequisites
The knowledge of semiotics and text linguistics, basic of photogragy, audial and audiovisual production.

Student performance

Attending class regularly (75%), actively participating in classroom discussion and structured activities. Coll.: Analysis of media messages.
