Course content
KSO/91AUL Ukrainian literary theory and history of literature 5 credits In Czech. Postgraduate students in the 1st year: KSO/91AUL. Lectures: dr. Kholod, dr. Merzová. Ukrainian literary theory (5 credits), credit test.

Learning outcomes
KSO/91AUL Ukrainian literary theory The aim of this course is to get the postgraduate students familiar with the contemporary Ukrainian literary theory and its disciplines, organization of research in literature, essential representatives of literary theory, synthetic works and monographs, contribution of Ukrainian literary theory to the Slavonic literary theory.
The students will deepen their knowledge of Ukrainian literature and its latest methodological approaches and topics.
Prerequisites
Knowledge acquired in the courses of literature incorporated into the master study programmes.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic, Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio

1. On aspects of language and style of contemporary Ukrainian prose in comparison with the Czech, Russian or Polish prose. The latest theories (terminology) and the research methods ? evaluation. Choice according to specialization. 2. The contemporary Ukrainian poetry works in Slavic (Czech, Russian or Polish) context. Choice according to specialization. 3. The latest theories in the contemporary Ukrainian literary science in comparison with the Czech, Russian or Polish literary science. Choice according to specialization. 5. The eminent personalities of Ukrainian literary science of the 20th and 21st century and evaluation of their contribution to the development of Slavic / European literary science. Choice according to specialization. 8. Cognitive theories in the Ukrainian literary science in comparison with the Czech, Polish or Russian literary science. Choice according to specialization. 9. Genre development in the Ukrainian literature of the 20th and 21st century in comparison with the literary work of the Czechs, Russians and Polish. Choice according to specialization. 10. Literary text as translation issue (the Polish, Czech, Russian and Ukrainian translation theories). Choice according to specialization.
