Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to broaden students' knowledge of qualitative research and to provide an overview of the practical use of various qualitative approaches and to fully develop competencies in field research. The course is aimed at introducing the cyclical character of qualitative research, focuses on the selection of research cases and introduces the basic types of data collection techniques. It is completed by an analysis of qualitative data and information on research ethics and the creation of a qualitative research report.
Student should be able to design and carry out qualitative research - from research strategy selection, research plan preparation to data creation and analysis. The student knows the individual steps of the research process, is able to sort them correctly and can describe their content. Student understand the importance of qualitative research in anthropology. He/she acquires the techniques of imagination development and can apply methods of selection of cases to concrete research and can prepare and conduct a qualitative interview.
