The aim of the course is to equip students with knowledge of current trends in human resource development and the ability to monitor and analyse future developments in this field. Students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in independent research in academic settings as well as in the private or public sector. Particular attention is paid to technological developments enabling new forms of knowledge work, changing attitudes among emerging generations of knowledge workers, and multicultural contexts.
The student will be able to critically analyse current trends and research findings in human resource development, assess their relevance to organizations, and relate them to the topic of their doctoral dissertation. |
| Prerequisites |

Knowledge of the fundamental theories and approaches in human resource management and human resource development at the master's degree level. Ability to work with academic literature in Czech and English and to critically evaluate theoretical concepts and empirical research findings. A basic understanding of social science research methodology is expected.

Student performance, Seminar Work
Shortly after course registration in IS STAG closes, students will be informed by email about the organization of the course. Two consultation sessions will be arranged. Students will write an essay reflecting on human resource development in relation to their dissertation topic. The essay will form the basis for a concluding discussion.
