Course content
Introduction to financial management and the banking sector. The role of banks in the economy and the basic principles of banking institutions. Banking products and services (accounts, loans, payment services, investment products). Basic terminology of financial management and banking. Communication situations in the banking environment (communication with banks, presentation of financial services). Analysis of authentic materials from banking practice (bank documents, informational materials, media texts). Phraseological expressions and professional terminology used in the banking sector. Model situations and discussions focused on the use of banking products and services.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic terminology and communication situations related to financial management and the banking sector. Emphasis is placed on understanding the specialized vocabulary associated with the functioning of financial institutions, the role of banks in the economy, and the use of banking products and services in a professional context. During the course, students will further develop practical communication skills necessary for operating in financial and banking environments. They will learn to work with typical professional terminology and acquire phraseological expressions commonly used in communication with banks and financial institutions.
After completing the course, the student will be able to: navigate the basic terminology of financial management and the banking sector, understand professional texts and communication related to the activities of banks and financial institutions, explain the role of banks in the economy and the characteristics of selected banking products and services, use appropriate professional terminology and phraseological expressions typical of communication with banks and financial institutions, apply acquired language and professional knowledge in model professional situations related to financial management and banking practice, communicate about topics related to banking and financial services in a professional context.
Prerequisites
A B2 level of French and a basic understanding of economic concepts are expected.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student

Completion of the course is conditional upon the student's attendance in classes, systematic preparation for individual sessions, active participation in seminars, study of the relevant academic literature, and participation in a final oral discussion in which the acquired knowledge is assessed.
