Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce basic characteristics of quantitative linguistics. History of the field as well as its theoretical foundations will also be introduced. The course also presents certain methods of quantitative analysis of natural language.
Knowledge of basics of quantitative linguistics (methodology, history) Ability to apply theoretical knowledge of quantitative linguistics in practice in concrete text analyses
