Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces into psychological aspects of music and of its place in human life. It aims at interlacing with the tradition of musicological thinking and at presentation of recent contributions and approaches, as well as of refering to interdisciplinary contexts which go along with the discipline.
Students will gain an overview of the mental phenomena accompanying music activities; they will familiarize themselves with the methods of knowledge acquisition of music psychology phenomena and with the tools for the musicality diagnosis. Students will understand the historical changes in the interest of music psychology phenomena and also the up-to-date topics and approaches.

|
Students should appreciate music and it would be good for them to be acquaintd with basic musical terminology.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Mark, Seminar Work
Sufficient and active participation in class (max. of 3 absences), a seminar paper about an academic article (or a published empirical research), sufficient knowledge of the issues covered in class and in the basic literature.
