Course content
Preparing informational texts (program notes, artist biographies), drafting concert season proposals, verifying the instrumentation of proposed pieces, and combining repertoire. Preparing the pre-concert introduction.

Learning outcomes
This course introduces students to the field of dramaturgy in philharmonic orchestras and opera houses. The course involves analyzing the seasonal programs of selected institutions and evaluating the proposed repertoire in terms of anniversaries, instrumentation, the availability of performers, regional reach, and the institutions' international ambitions.
Through practical experience, students will gain an understanding of the responsibilities and competencies of a music programmer.
Prerequisites
A solid knowledge of music history and excellent speaking skills.

Student performance, Seminar Work

Students are supposed to fulfil the position of dramaturgist (programme suggestions, texts, introductory lectures).
