- sociological and cultural role of opera in the 18th century - text and music: libretto and score, dramaturgy of baroque opera - acting and dance - visual art: costume and scenography - main tendencies of progress (Italy, France, Vienna, Czech Lands)

Learning outcomes
|
Baroque opera seria as a crossover of art. In the cycle of lectures will be enlarged selected chapters from the field of the italian opera of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Students will acquire the knowledge of opera, baroque music and about interpretation.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam
active participation in classes, attending the seminar, seminar paper, orientation issues in baroque opera, at least 70% success rate in the interim and final credit test
