Learning outcomes

The aim of this lecture is to acquaint students with the history of Roman literature from the very beginnigs to the 5th century A.D. and with main authors and their works.
The aim of this course is to familiarise students with the history of Roman literature from the very beginnings to the 2nd Century A.D. Students will acquire general knowledge of the literary communication in the individual periods of Roman history, learn more about evolution of the individual literary genres, and obtain basic information about the main authors and works.

Prerequisites

Completion of the course in Greek literature.

Oral exam
Active participation in class, completion of a final exam.
