Course content
|
Some important events of the 20th century history will be discussed in this course (based on reading of literature and text edition). The attention will be paid to basic features of the development of some regions in context of world-wide events. The course will concentrate mainly on topics: everydaylife during WWI and WWII, the origin of communism (ideology, politics) on example of Russia and other countries of Central and South Eastern Europe, world decolonization, developing countries and their problems, the development of China in the 20th century, the development of Japan in the 20th century, near East and the Middle East in the 20th century, global problems of the world in the 2nd half of in the 20th century.
