Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this seminar is to present selected topics from the social and cultural history of the Bohemian Lands in the 19th century (Czech-German relationship, schooling and education, parliamentarianism, history of everyday life, travelling and sports).
Students will learn to understand the social and cultural development of Europe in the "long" 19th century and will get familiar with the Czech as well as foreign scholarly literature dealing with the social and cultural history of this period.

Students are supposed to have basic factual knowledge of the 19th-century history.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Didactic Test
- active participation in classes (regular participation, class discussion; two absences are possible): 30 % - presentation of a selected monograph: 40 % - test: 30 %
