Course content
|
The content of lectures is the introduction into archival science - i.e. explanation of basic terms, secondary literature and archives´ functions. Students will be familiar with various terms connected to this field. The attention is also paid to an archive such as an institution nowadays, same and different features of archives, museums and libraries (possibly other institutions of memory) and a role of archival science in a system of public administration, science, culture and informatics. Signicicant personalities are also discussed. Seminars usually deal with excursions into archives in Olomouc and Opava. HF

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of lectures is to acquaint students with archival science and its importance. Students are gradually familiar with basic terminology of this field, secondary literature and generally also with an archive´s role, its position in a system of public administration and the raltion to other institutes of memory. The aim of seminars is to acquaint studnets with a concrete state of Czech archival science, moreover, thanks to excursions into concrete archives. HF
A students gains basic knowledge of archival science and its terminology. He understands roles of archives under the terms of public administration and their position among other institutes of memory. HF

Student performance
Active class and excursion participation, carry out the tasks - papers and reviews. HF
