The seminar will focus on selected phenomena of Czech literature of the 1990s, based on the analysis and interpretation of symptomatic literary texts, but also in relation to the general cultural and social processes of the time. Special attention will be paid to the so-called fantasy line of postmodern prose, represented in particular by Jáchym Topol, Daniela Hodrová, Michal Ajvaz and Jiří Kratochvil, but we will also analyse the works of Michal Viewegh, Vladimír Macura and Milan Kundera.
