Course content
The discipline is focused on the historic and prehistoric developement of Czech, Common Slavic and Indo-european in all language plans (especially in the phonology and the morphology). The selection of themes is motivated with two basic reasons: a) understanding of the contemporary Czech from the diachronic point of view; b) getting basic knowledges of a work with Old Church Slavonic and Old Czech texts.

Learning outcomes
The discipline is focused on the historic and prehistoric developement of Czech, Common Slavic and Indo-european in all language plans (especially in the phonology and the morphology).
The student is able to read and analyse, transcribe and transliterate Old Church Slavonic and Old Czech texts and also can apply knowleges of the basic diachronic proceses from Indo-european to Old Czech.
