The seminars will present the students with various approaches to older literature and methods of research into it, both from a diachronic and synchronic perspective. Another of the course's goals will be to analyse old Czech texts from the point of view of editorial practice, which has a number of specific aims.
Students will gain a basic orientation in methods of research into early Czech literature, their development and trends in literary research. They will be able to apply some of these methods when analysing and interpreting an early Czech text.
