Planed topics: 1) Czech letters and sounds, greetings and basic phrases in social contact 2) Basic rules of a inflected language: the grammatical gender, verbs být and mít 3) Giving basic information about myself, asking for information about another person 4) Numbers: time, date, price 5) Verbs of moving: jít, jet, chodit + their use 6) Verbs of everyday life activities 7) Objects in everyday life 8) Speaking about time and space: basic constructions with prepositions 9) Human body + communication with a doctor / in hospital 10) Basic construkctions with modal verbs: musíš/te, můžeš/te, nesmíš/te 11) Expressing time in Czech: past and future tenses of often used verbs 12) Transport and services 13) Final revision

The course is intended for foreign students participating in international exchange programs (Indonesia scholarship holders). The aim of this course is the acquisition of communication skills in Czech at level Pre-A1. Students will be familiar with the basics of Czech pronunciation and orthography, they will learn vocabulary for essential communication in Czech (topics and situations of everyday life will be underlined).
