The course aims to introduce students to the relationship between language and society, whilst keeping the graduates' future professional practice firmly in mind. It examines the ethnic (national), social, demographic and psychological aspects of communication and seeks to apply theoretical principles drawn from key foreign-language literature to the specific context of Czech as a national language.
