Course content
1) Orthographic standard in relation to morphological standard, codification 2) Morphological norm I (noun, adjective and pronominal flexion) 3) Spelling of borrowed and foreign words 4) Capitalization 5) Morphological norm II (verbal flexion) 6) Writing prefixes s (se), z (ze); prepositions with, from 7) Conformity of the judgment with the subject 8) Selected problematic phenomena of sentence structure 9) Punctuation 10) Other punctuation marks, their functions and rules of use 11) Letters and graphic design of documents 12) Writing abbreviations and acronyms

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to automate the knowledge of orthographic and stylistic norms (working with authentic texts and their correction). We will discuss and explain the problematic phenomena of the orthographic standards of the contemporary Czech language, especially with regard to future editorial and publishing practices course participants. Emphasis will be put on the explanation of relatively problematic phenomena from the sphere of lexical spelling (capital lettering), composing (punctuation in sentence and sentence) and morphological; emphasis will be placed on recognizing the system background of these phenomena.
The discipline ends with a credit. The condition for granting the credit is both the completion of all four correspondence tasks and the successful completion of partial tests (75% of points), which will complete each block of contact teaching.

Requirements for passing the attestation (obligations that the student must fulfill after completing the tutorial before registering for the exam): Students will prepare a total of four correspondence tasks in the range of two standard pages. The tasks consist in the elaboration of exercises with purposefully selected spelling phenomena (according to the topics covered during the contact teaching) and in the stylistic and orthographic proofreading of authentic texts.
