Course content
Aims of the course: to build communicative competence in Czech and to develop all communicative skills to the B2 level. The topics, vocabulary, and grammar follow the descriptions of B1 and B2 levels according to the CEFR. The course also focuses on correct pronunciation and orthography. Grammatical and language features: atypical declension types (borrowed words such as muzeum, album, génius, drama), collocations of prepositions with verbs or adjectives, short forms of adjectives, selected types of quantification, Czech phraseology, the stylistic value of lexical and grammatical means, standard Czech vs. spoken Czech. Topics: the environment, police and justice, public life, religion, art and culture.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test

Regular attendance, active participation in seminars, and successful completion of the final written test (minimum score: 75%).
