Course content
Absolvents of doctoral study programm should be familiarized with current research methods of verbal communication which arises from sociolinguistics perspective (code switching, code mixing), pragmatics perspective (speech acts, maxims, presupositions and implicatures, contextualization), analysis of discourse (discourse strategies) and etnomethodologic conversational analysis. This complex of approaches should be aply for procesual and functional analysis of - communications events (monologues and dialogues) - dialogues asymmetrical (institutional) and symmetrical (conversational) - utterances written and spoken (including current profile of movement between writtenes and spokeness) The emphasis will be placed on the ability of creating and usage the transcrips spoken and written utterances.
