Participation in the conference is realized in the form of passive participation in the conference (student as a listener).

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with access to an international scientific conference in management and economics and offer them the opportunity to gain new knowledge beyond the content of studies at DEMS.
In the case of passive participation, students recieve experience from a scientific conference and knowledge on topics that are currently subject to scientific research.

Prerequisites
|
Interest in current trends in management and economics. Formal dress.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Systematic Observation of Student
Procedure for successful fulfillment of conditions: 1. The student finds a suitable action. It must be a scientific conference in management or economics in the Czech Republic or abroad. The selection of the event can be consulted with the guarantor of the course doc. Pavla Slavíčková (pavla.slavickova@upol.cz) or: The student will participate in the international scientific conference KNOWCON organized annually in November KEMS FF UP see www.knowledgeconference.upol.cz (recommended) 2. The student completes the entire conference program. 3. The student writes a brief report on his participation in the conference and sends it to the course guarantor doc. Slavíčkové (pavla.slavickova@upol.cz). In case of participation in a conference other than KNOWCON, it is necessary to ask the event organizer to issue a written confirmation of participation in the conference. A copy of this confirmation must be sent to the guarantor together with a report on participation.
