Course content

Learning outcomes
The course introduces students to the organizational structure and functions of the public sector, the principles of environmental and social sustainable development and their implementation in the context of public administration. The course links the theoretical foundations of public administration with practical applications of sustainability principles.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student

Credit is awarded to learners by completing participation in a group presentation (2-3 learners) during the seminar. The specific requirements and topics for the presentation will be specified to the students in the introductory class of the course. Presentations will be given in seminars. A written summary of three standard pages (1 ns is 1,800 characters including spaces) is required for the presentation. Responsibility for completing the presentation is team-based. Active participation in seminar discussions. The course concludes with a written examination. Up-to-date materials are available on Moodle from the beginning of the summer term, including all the information needed for credit and the written exam. Attendance is not required for the course, but is recommended. Mandatory attendance is required on the date of the actual presentation (excuses are only accepted with a doctor's note).
