Learning outcomes

Most current employers require newly recruited employees to have previous work experience. The DEMS offers students the opportunity to practice within their studies. The student finds a place by him/herself, or with the support of a student practice coordinator at DEMS. For this purpose, DEMS has contracted places in organizations that have expressed interest in this form of cooperation with the department, so watch the blog of the department, where the offers of companies that ask the trainees are published. Practice in the company or other institution can also be combined with regard to the choice of the topic of the final thesis. After a short-term practice, it is recommended to complete long-term practice (KAE/PX2) and practice abroad (KAE / PZ). However, only one practice can be completed per one employer!
The student is able to apply theoretical knowledge in a real work environment, navigate work processes and organizational functioning of a company, perform assigned tasks and communicate effectively within a work team. He/she develops the ability to work independently and in a team, solve practical problems and reflect on the acquired experience in relation to the field of study.

Prerequisites
|
The aim of the traineeship is to enable the student to verify the knowledge gained by studying various subjects in practical activities in specific situations of organizations and to supplement this theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge.

Analysis of Activities ( Technical works)
1,298 Short-term internships must be a minimum of 80 hours (2 weeks). The student completes the internship in a company or organization of his/her own choice, or can take advantage of the offers of companies and organizations that offer KEMS internships to students (see list below). The internship cannot be completed in a company or organization with which the student has a long-term employment relationship, or in a company owned by family members. The content of the internship must correspond to the content of the study. Internship or cooperation with a company can also be combined with regard to the choice of the topic of the bachelor's or master's thesis. Only one internship can be completed with one employer at a time. Procedure for recognizing internships: 1. The student chooses the type of internship and the place where he/she will perform it. 2. Before the internship begins, he/she contacts the internship coordinator at KEMS and submits the completed Pre-Internship Form. All forms are available on the KEMS website: https://kems.upol.cz/studium/studentske-praxe/ 3. After completing the internship, the student fills in/ensures completion of the questionnaire, final report and evaluations, which he/she submits to the internship coordinator at KEMS. Based on these, the latter will enter the internship into Stag. Forms required for recognition of the internship can be found at www.kems.upol.cz. All forms can be sent by email to the internship coordinator's address, see the KEMS website: https://kems.upol.cz/studium/studentske-praxe/ Send feedback Translation results available
