Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce undergraduates into basic conditions, relationships and principles of entrepreneurship. Practical part of training, focused on the creation of a founding budget, business plan and their importance to both a company and the environment outside it, is emphasized within the selected topics. The course is concluded by creation of a business plan within a selected field of business, and its presentation and defense in the form of discussion. The course integrates use of knowledge from individual economic disciplines of finance, accounting, banking, business economics, management and marketing. The course will provide basic theoretical and practical information for creation of one´s own business. Special emphasis is placed on the principles of sustainability in business.
Student will gain the ability to make practical use of knowledge in the business plan making and founding budget. Student will acquire a comprehensive overview of the necessary knowledge concerning the business activities of small and medium-sized companies from preparing a business plan and budget for the founding, through marketing activities to financial management. Student will be informed about the system of subsidies to small and medium-sized businesses and will be able to choose an appropriate form of subvence for his/her business. Student will understand the basic principles of business and be capable to draw up a business plan, including the budget. Student will be well informed about the changes in management caused by globalization trends, and he/she will learn about new forms of business.

Prerequisites
|
The course is designed for students of 2nd year of master's program and its conclusion requires knowledge of basic economic disciplines gained from previous studies and the ability of their integration and interconnection.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student, Seminar Work, Written exam
The course is finished by test. Participants must pass the credit test. Student gets credit for active participation in seminars, preparation for course, presentation and defense of a business plan. Two absences are allowed.
