The course examines contemporary art through the prism of the relationship between aesthetics and politics. In thematic blocks, it reflects on the issue of the production and distribution of works of art, their management and protection. It focuses on the Central European region, but understands it in a broader social, political, and economic context. It connects contemporary art with the post-transformation period, but places it in a more general historical and methodological context. The course includes regular visits to exhibitions, museum collections, and studios.
