Learning outcomes
Introduction to the building historical survey as a key method for understanding the history of architectural monuments. The course takes place partly in the classroom and partly in the field, where students learn about the practical requirements of conducting the survey directly at the monument being researched, either in Olomouc or within a day's travel (e.g., in Kroměříž).
Upon completion of the course, students should have a general understanding of the structural development of historical buildings and their basic documentation for the purposes of historic preservation.
