The aim is to familiarize students with significant examples from the recent past or present and to use them to illustrate the limits of heritage conservation in the Czech Republic, with overlaps into other (especially European) systems of heritage conservation.
Students gain an understanding of the practical, methodological, legislative, and institutional limitations of heritage conservation, illustrated through analyses of specific recent case studies.
