After consultation with an academic staff member of the Department of Asian Studies, the student selects a suitable foreign institution, compiles a short-term internship/research program related to the student's field of study, and arranges admission to the host institution.

Assessment methods and criteria

The student completes a study or research stay abroad and documents the specific output they developed during the stay. Within DAS/PRX1, any long trip can be approved (e.g. study stay / short-term research stay in a foreign library), however, the required outputs are graded according to the length of the stay as follows: A) up to 10 days + a published article B) 10-30 days + active participation in a conference (paper) or output A, Possibly writing a report on the stay + oral presentation of the stay at a workshop . C) over 30 days or a whole semester / ac. year + oral presentation on a local topic at a workshop or any of the outputs A/B Further requirements: submitt a document validating the completed stay of the given length (in the case of other types of stay than a study trip), submit or present a specific research output (according to the form); Final Report.
