Course content

The course consists of three parts: Practical language (grammar and vocabulary), Conversation, and Academic Writing.

Learning outcomes
|
The objective of the course is to allow students to further their Japanese language competence on the advanced level.
Students improved their Japanese language competence on advanced level - JLPT N2 (grammar, vocabulary, conversation and presentation skills, academic writing).

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam, Essay, Analysis of linguistic
- At least 70% attendance in all three parts of the course - Homework - Small tests focused on grammar and kanji (practical Japanese) - Submission of all assigned essays (written Japanese) - Comprehensive exam (written test including grammar and vocabulary learnt in JC7 and JC8, translation from Czech to Japanese with dictionary, essay in Japanese with dictionary, presentation of intended Master thesis in Japanese and participation in the ensuing discussion)
