In the first part, students are expected to get familiar with basic facts related to Chinese foreign policy including its main historic periods and current position of China in the region and the world. Knowledge of the basic facts will be tested in the mid-term exam. In the second part of the course, students will be presented with a variety of theoretical approaches interpreting and explaining Chinese foreign policy. The students will be expected by the end of the course to be familiar with the main issues of the Chinese foreign policy and be able to apply the theoretical approaches to analyze them.
