Learning outcomes
|
The RJZ9 exam tests students' knowledge and skills at B1+ level. This exam can be taken directly by students without any prior coursework. The exam is not intended for native speakers of Russian and for those students for whom Russian is a common language of communication.
Students will be able to prove that their English skills are on level B1+ according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

Students can do the exam directly without attending any classes.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Written exam
The exam consists of written and oral parts and is based on B1+ level coursebooks. The written part focuses on listening and reading comprehension; it also checks the grammar and vocabulary related to the units in the coursebook. Employing the form of a monologue and dialogue, the oral part checks students' speaking skills on the required level in both general language and subject-related language. Only students who have successfully passed the written test can do the oral part.
