Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Written exam
The exam consists of written and oral parts and is based on B2 level coursebooks. The written part focuses on listening and reading comprehension; it also checks the grammar and vocabulary related to the units in the coursebook. Employing the form of a monologue and dialogue, the oral part checks students' speaking skills on the required level in both general language and subject-related language. Only students who have successfully passed the written test can do the oral part. In case students have an internationally valid certificate (e.g. Goethe-Zertifikat) on B2 level or higher, they do not need to take the written part of the exam. They will only take the oral part.
