Course content
Introductory lesson (3 x 45 mins): - exam requirements and study materials Tutorials (3 times) - tutorials are not compulsory, if students want to participate, they have to register for a tutorial by email at least one week before the set date

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Attendace - 12 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 60 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim is to pass the final exam which checks if students' language skills are at the B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference. The exam consists of the written test only. Students can check their language skills in the placement test at their disposal after enrolling in their studies (http://placement-test.ff.upol.cz). Students can register for the course only in the winter semester, however, they can do the examination either in the winter or summer exam period.

Prerequisites
English language skills are at the B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

The written exam (reading and comprehension; grammar and vocabulary) will be held in person; detailed information is available to registered students on Moodle.
