The Hanja 1 course is the first of three consecutive courses in (traditional) Chinese characters for students of Korean. Sino-Korean vocabulary, which can be written in both Korean script and Chinese characters, accounts for more than half of the Korean lexicon. Basic knowledge of Chinese characters is thus an important part of studying the Korean language. The aim of this course is to learn the set of 200 most frequent characters.
