Course content
|
An example of lectures: Chapters in contrastive linguistics This course deals with selected grammar points, which are explored through contrasting English and Japanese, mainly at the level of syntax and sentence structure. Attention is also paid to word-formation and English loanwords. The lectures are given in Japanese (with the help of English).

Learning outcomes
|
The content of this course changes based on the specialization of the visiting professor. The lectures are organized as a standard 1-semester course, i.e. 2 hours per week, or as a series of lectures or seminars given within 1 or 2 weeks.
Students will have received lectures by a visiting professor, which are normally offered for Japanese university students. They will have enhanced their knowledge in the area of the selected topics.
