The course aims to develop the basic language skills needed when traveling in a Chinese-speaking environment. The emphasis is on speaking skills. In short dialogues, students learn the most commonly used phrases, which they then practice in exercises in the form of substitution drills. The course is suitable for Chinese major or minor students who have already learned Chinese for at least one year or other students who have reached a similar level in Chinese. It covers various issues associated with traveling in China, such as preparation for travel in China, transportation, accommodation, eating outside, and related Chinese culture. During the course, students will also learn about popular tourist destinations in the area. After finishing the course, students will be able to effectively communicate in various situations related to shorter or longer stays in China.
