Course content
The client and his/her life story, collecting data and recording information in life story, using life story in the models of care according to Krohwinkel, Juchli, AED, dignity of a human person, creating an individual plan using life story, reminiscence (e.g. using various methods, practical exercises, self-experience activities), activation with life story. Working with life stories - case studies, biography recording, creating programs. Biographical model of E. Böhm and its application in seniors care (singular, historical, regional).

Learning outcomes
The goal of the course is to understand the importance of perception of the life story in the work with the client, to support the dignity of the individual with a well-chosen approach and activities based on life experience, to know the specifics of working with life story and to be able to use different forms of this work in various client groups. Furthermore, to become familiar with the specifics of the psycho-biographic model (PBM) of care for people with dementia according to Professor Böhm.
The student is able to apply the acquired knowledge in compiling an individual plan of a client, can use elements of selected models of client care in the work with biography and include biography in the models of care, is oriented in activation methods using life story, and knows the specifics of the PBM according to E.Böhm.
