Course content
|
Fundamentals of mental health, particularities of chronicity in mental illnesses, path to recovery as a way to work with chronically mentally ill people, peer worker in the services of psychiatric care, threatening situations, assessing vulnerability and crisis symptoms, prevention tools, crisis plan, the work of multidisciplinary team in a mental health centre (CDZ), examples of good practice, work with case studies.

Learning outcomes
|
The goal of the course is to enhance the knowledge acquired within the course Assessing the situation of the client (PSK) focusing on the problem of chronic course of psychiatric illnesses, monitoring and managing crisis situations related to mental illness, and care for the mentally ill.
Student gains a deeper knowledge of issues related to the chronic course of psychiatric illnesses, is well informed about the issues of vulnerability and crisis, is able to explain the role of a peer worker in psychiatric care, and gains insight into the work of the multidisciplinary team in a mental health centre (CDZ).
