Literature will be presented to students during the course. The course concludes with a written homily and an oral singing exam.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to teach students the basic forms of liturgical singing of a deacon and to show in practice what mass and liturgical chants are appropriate for him. At the same time, the course introduces the student to the basics of homiletics, how to prepare a homily and what homiletic rules to follow.
After completing the course, the student will be able to deliver a homily and have knowledge of mass and liturgical singing associated with the diaconal service.

Prerequisites
|
The student has basic knowledge of liturgy and music teaching, which are necessary for liturgical singing. Orientation in theological disciplines and church teachings is a prerequisite for preparing a homily.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary)
Basic knowledge of liturgy, theology, singing theory and musicology.
