Learning outcomes
|
At the bachelor's degree level, students will learn basic terminology and, in the perspective of selected psychological schools, understand the dynamics of personality formation and the functioning of the human psyche in a social context and in communication. In the seminars, students will have the opportunity to deepen theoretical knowledge in the context of their own experience and try out selected psychological techniques.
Upon completion of the module, students will be able to: 1. To explain the basic concepts of personality and values in psychology, in particular personality, self-concept, motivation, value orientation and personal integrity, and to apply them when describing specific situations. 2. Compare selected psychological approaches to personality and the concept of values; explain, using a specific example, the links between personality development, early relational experiences, intergenerational relationships and the social environment; distinguishing between a psychological explanation of behaviour and its ethical evaluation. 3. Analyse a model interpersonal or communicative situation using a selected psychological approach.
