Course content
The student may choose the organization independently or make use of contacts provided by the department and its instructors. The choice of the organization in which the internship will take place must be approved by the course guarantor before it begins. The internship is primarily carried out in organizations whose activities involve the sharing of information (non-profit organizations, local and regional government, political parties, research institutions, academic workplaces, cultural institutions, museums, healthcare facilities, religious organizations, commercial entities, etc.). The internship takes the form of so-called job shadowing, i.e., acquiring competencies by observing the work practices of professionals in a real environment on current cases. Students participate in the organization?s ongoing work under the guidance of a supervisor, who assigns them partial tasks. Students are encouraged to reflect and self-reflect on whether they consciously and actively apply the knowledge, methods, and recommendations acquired in theoretical instruction. The internship is completed in an organization chosen by the student and approved by the course guarantor. It is conducted under the supervision of a supervisor, who confirms its completion in a report submitted to the course guarantor. After finishing the internship, students prepare a report on its course and are encouraged to reflect on the experience in a discussion with the course guarantor and their peers.
