The course introduces students to the practice of photography and the ethical considerations in processing visual material related to crisis situations. It focuses on analyzing the content and form of photographs, possible production and post-production distortions of reality, and the ethical framework surrounding these issues. Students will acquire skills in decoding the symbols used in contemporary visual culture. The student will learn the basics of the art of distinguishing post-production editing and what technical possibilities these edits have.
