Course content
1. Definition of the basic terms and developing of the current knowledge 2. Theological presuppositions (common and different theological points important for ecumenical and interreligious cooperation: soteriology, ecclesiology, theological anthropology, varnas and caste system, karma, reincarnation, compassion to the whole creation, mission as a holy war and an aid) 3. Basic documents concerning ecumenical and interreligious dialogue 4. Organizations and institutions of the social, humanitarian, ecumenical, and interreligious cooperation. 5. Geographical and topographical overview of the cooperation within the different cultures and the situations where the aid is needed (illness, dying persons, migration, humanitarian crisis) as well as different approaches from different approaches in the Central Europe, South Europe, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe. 6. Examples of social and humanitarian cooperation in history of Europe and World.

Learning outcomes
The goal of the course is to compare the consequences of the different approaches to the social work in the different branches of Christianity and world religions. Systematical study of the aid within the different traditions: theological presuppositions, casual studies, possibilities and limitations of ecumenical and interreligious cooperation, realizations of the projects, introduction to the basic documents and historical events in the field of cooperation until today (e.g. the handicapped, humanitarian crisis).
Orientation within the history and present situation on the field of ecumenical and inter-religious dialogue.

Basic orientation in Christian churches and confessions, as well as the basic knowledge of world religions today.
