Course content
|
In this course students will be familiarized with the basic characteristics of gypsy subculture. Students will gain practical insight into this issue. The knowledge gained will benefit from the practice of social pedagogue. The basic topics discussed will include: - Introduction, basic defining characteristics of the Gypsys and subcultures, - Education of Gypsys - gypsy culture (music, cuisine, literature) - Search for identity of Gypsys, emancipation trends - Structure of the gypsy families with extended family in comparison with Hindu India - gypsy spiritual life, a new charismatic movement - Differences in traditions and behavior of sub-ethnic groups - The identity of gypsy children in foster care
