Course content
|
the project as a tool for addressing needs, problems, and development opportunities in social pedagogical practice, basic stages of the project cycle: preparation, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and sustainability, the pre-project phase, needs analysis, target group, work with the identified problem, and assessment of the feasibility of the project concept, preparation of the project plan and project application, formulation of objectives, outputs, key activities, and indicators, the logical framework method and its use in structuring a project concept, sources of project funding, grant calls, the project budget, and basic principles of financial management, project risk management, problem solving, and managing changes during project implementation, legal and organizational aspects of project implementation, the project team, the role of the project manager, and teamwork, project implementation, monitoring, publicity, interim and final reporting, preparation of students' own project proposal and its connection to a specific grant call and the needs of social pedagogical practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces students to the planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of projects in the field of social pedagogy. It focuses on the project as a tool for addressing a specific need, problem, or development opportunity in social pedagogical practice. During the seminars, students will become familiar with the process of preparing and developing a project concept and a project application. Attention will be paid in particular to needs analysis, formulation of project objectives, outputs and key activities, preparation of a logical framework, budget planning, and possible sources of project funding.In the area of project implementation, the course will focus on integrating the project into the life of the implementing organization, setting up a project team, managing project activities, working with a timetable, monitoring risks, checking the fulfilment of outputs, and managing the project budget, including possible budget changes. The course will also address project publicity, interim and final reporting, monitoring reports, and project sustainability.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to understand the basic stages of the project cycle, prepare a project proposal corresponding to a specific call, and reflect on its implementation in the context of social pedagogical practice.

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in seminars (absence will be tolerated up to 2 times in justified cases, which will be excused). During the practical part of the seminars, students will work out a real project plan on their own, but it will correspond to the real situation and the specific challenge (current or past). The fulfillment of the course is the completion of a colloquium where students will present the developed logical framework, present the intended project based on it and answer additional questions. Students with an individual plan: The above conditions apply + completion of the assignments in the learning support in Moodle and submission of a project application for a specific challenge.
