The course Preparation of School Documentation for Religious Education introduces students to the legislative, curricular, and methodological documents that are important for the preparation and implementation of religious education at primary and lower secondary school level. In relation to their teaching qualification, students will become familiar with the basic documents of the school system, especially framework educational programmes, school educational programmes, syllabi, and other documents related to lesson planning. The course will include analysis of selected documents, their structure, content, function, and mutual relationships. Students will be guided to distinguish how individual documents influence the planning of subject matter, formulation of objectives, selection of content, methods and forms of teaching, and assessment of educational outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on the practical acquisition of skills needed for preparing selected school documents. Students will try to develop parts of documentation applicable to religious education, especially a thematic plan, syllabus, proposal for a teaching unit, or materials for a school educational programme. The aim is for students not only to read and analyse school documentation, but also to create and use it meaningfully in lesson preparation.
Upon completion of the course, students will be familiar with the basic legislative, curricular, and methodological documents related to religious education at primary and lower secondary school level. They will be able to understand the significance of these documents for school practice and apply their requirements when planning instruction, preparing thematic plans, syllabi, and other materials for religious education. Students will know the basic structure and function of the Framework Educational Programme and the School Educational Programme and will be able to prepare a draft of a selected part of a school educational programme or related school documentation for religious education at a specific school.
